PDF pages will scale to fit standard paper sizes such as A4 or US Letter but can also be scaled up to much larger sizes such as A1.
PNG pages print best on A4 or US Letter paper & can’t be scaled up without loosing some clarity but will scale down to A5 or US Half Letter paper.
